Eikendal Vineyards’ unique Pizza & Wine Pairing is ready to delight food and wine lovers this winter. What better way to battle against the cold in Cape Town than to enjoy three mini pizzas prepared by resident restaurant Cucina di Giovanni and paired with three of Eikendal’s finest red wines.
The elegant Reserve Merlot 2015 with its peppery and blackberry notes, pairs beautifully with the Mac Mac: a combination of chorizo, olives, feta and avocado. The spicy Mexicana bolognaise, green pepper and chili pizza enhances the full, plump berry nuances of the beguiling Charisma 2015 – a unique blend of Shiraz, Petit Verdot and Sangiovese. The award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 completes the offering alongside a brie, rocket, cranberry and crispy bacon Sapore pizza.
A vegetarian option has also been introduced with the Merlot joining forces with the peppadews, baby marrows and feta of the Colour Breeze. A traditional Vegetarian pizza nestles next to the charming Charisma with the combination of the artichoke, green pepper, onion and olives blending seamlessly with this royal red. The bacon-less Sapore ends off this titillating winter offering as it merges with the Cabernet Sauvignon.

This Winter Pizza & Wine Pairing Experience (R60) is on offer Tuesdays to Sundays between 12:00 and 16:00 until 30 June and again from the 1st of August to the 30th of September.
